Description
Changdeokgung Palace was the second royal villa built following the construction of Gyeongbukgung Palace in 1405. It was the principal palace for many kings of the Joseon Dynasty, and is the most well-preserved of the five remaining royal Joseon palaces. The palace grounds are comprised of a public palace area, a royal family residence building, and the rear garden. Known as a place of rest for the kings, the rear garden boasts a gigantic tree that is over 300 years old, a small pond and a pavilion.

Insa-dong, located in the heart of the city, is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There is one main road in Insa-dong with alleys on each side. Within these alleys are galleries and traditional restaurants, teahouses, and cafes.

In ancient times, the royal guards of Joseon Dynasty performed the given task by guarding the Gwanghwamun Gate, the entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace where the king ruled the country. Since 1469, the ceremony has taken place, with the present reenactment ceremony being based on historical records for authenticity.The reenactment of the original ceremony began from 1996. The gate guardsmen serve their sentry, perform the changing of the guards, and hold a parade. The guards' uniforms, weapons, and accessories as well as their strict ceremonial procedures catch the eyes of passersby, especially foreign tourists.

" The story of Sejong, The story of the Admiral Yi Sunshin" exhibition: The Story of King Sejong and The Story of Admiral Yi Sunshin are exhibitions halls about two of Korea's national heroes, King Sejong and Admiral Yi. Foreign visitors can learn how to write their names in Korean calligraphy on a piece of rice paper. You can keep one copy to take home and exhibit another copy on the wall of the exhibition hall.

昌德宮於1405年泰宗時所創建。壬辰倭亂時，代替被燒毀的景福宮，國王居住於此，並處理國家大事，因此昌德宮被稱為朝鮮時代代表性的宮殿。日本統治時期，因為昌德宮具有此種特別意義，所以日本人也曾企圖摧毀，在那之後有很長的時間被棄之不顧，終於在1991年修復完成，才開放參觀。

仁寺洞雖然為市中心較老舊的地區，但這裡可是珍貴傳統物品交易的重要空間。仁寺洞以中間的主街為中心，兩側分佈眾多像迷宮般的巷弄。迷宮中畫廊、傳統工藝品店、古美術店、傳統茶坊、傳統餐廳飲食、咖啡廳等林立，每間店都有其獨特之處，深受年輕人與中年人喜愛。

朝鮮時代的守門將，為負責駐守興仁之門、崇禮門等都城門與景福宮等國王所生活之宮闕的宮門者。守門將會依既定的程序開關光化門並交接換崗，護衛著當時國家的中心－國王與王室，對國家的安定有一定貢獻。韓國最早確立守門將制度的時期為朝鮮睿宗1年(西元1469年)，在此之前則由中央軍五衛的護軍擔當把守宮闕的重任。在朝鮮的法宮(國王起居與處理政務之宮闕)景福宮重現的朝鮮時代守門將換崗儀式，以守門將制度完備的15世紀朝鮮時代為背景，致力於將當時護衛宮殿的軍人服飾、武器與各種裝飾品完整重現。

世宗故事 ‧ 忠武公故事展, 展出有關世宗大王和李舜臣將軍事蹟的展覽。除展覽以外，還提供傳統文化的體驗活動, 外國遊客可以學習如何用韓文書寫自己的名字, 以及在宣紙上即場以韓國書法寫下他們的名字。您可以將一份副本帶回家並在展廳的牆上展示另一份副本。
